Homeowners may be aware of air leaks around windows and doors, but other gaps are often found around plumbing pipes; attic hatch; duct penetrations from dryer, range hood and bathroom fans; exterior wall receptacles and other penetrations thru the exterior walls.
Draftproofing involves sealing the building envelope in areas where cold air can enter and warm air can escape.
A door fan or blower door test measures the size of leaks to the building envelope and assist in locating these leaks. This test done before and after a HAAS upgrade with provide accurate measurements as to the improvements to your home.
